Auntie Zoë's Daily Essential Oil Routine

My Morning Essential Oil Routine
My morning begins when the daily alarm sounds.
Do I press snooze to have more time to rest?
I am not going to lie, of course I do. I am only human!
Once I am sat up in bed this is when my daily routine begins with an in inhalation of Tisserand essential oils. A revitalising blend of citrusy oils, Grapefruit, Orange, Lime & Bergamot diluted in jojoba oil that I have made into a spray bottle. I spray twice into my hands. I rub them together, cup my hands over my nose and take in 3-4 deep breaths, in through the nose out through the mouth. This inhalation awakens my senses and prepares me for my day.
Method
1x 10ml spray bottle
2 drops of each oil: Grapefruit, Orange, Lime & Bergamot.
Topped up with TISSERAND JoJoba Oil.
If you do not wish to make your own blends of oils Tisserand my preferred brand of essential oil, sell a pre blended easy rollerball that you can apply to your pulse points, chest, and behind your ears. This I carry in a pouch on my wheelchair so I have it to use during the day.
Time to bath or shower with essential oils
Using essential oils in your bath or shower can be a wonderful way to enhance your daily routine. The warm water helps to diffuse the aromas, creating a soothing or invigorating experience depending on the oils you choose. It's a simple step that can transform an ordinary moment into a luxurious and therapeutic escape. Experiment with different blends to find what works best for your mood and needs. Remember to always dilute essential oils properly before adding them to your bath or applying them to your skin in the shower. Enjoy your aromatic journey!

Make time to nourish your skin.
It is imports to take time to nourish our skin after a bath or shower. Our skin is the most important tool we have to ingest the complemenal effects of essential oils. When essential oils are diluted with carrier oil and applied to the skin it takes 15-20 minutes before the oils begin to enter the blood stream working on every cell in our body. when diluting or mixing essential oils with jojoba or Almomd oil this slows down absorption into the skin but aids nourishing and slow evaporation of the essential oils. If essential oils are not diluted when applied to the skin more than half will evaporate. Whereas if an essential oil is suspended in a carrier oil the evaporation process is slower.
I always air on the side of caution when it comes to using essential oils. I like to blend mine with jojoba oil as the absorption rate into the skin is slower compared to Fractionated Coconut oil as jobjoba has more of a waxy consistency. Less is more when applying jojoba to the skin. When Essential oils are applied topically to the skin, essential oils typically begin to enter the bloodstream within 15 to 20 minutes, with peak concentration levels may occur at around 30 minutes. Skin Thickness is a factor as thicker skin (like the soles of the feet or palms) absorb oils much slowly than areas with thinner skin or high density of hair follicles such as areas with lots of hair, or very thin skin—introduces oils into the body more slowlly.
Whan taking my advice to dilute essential oils with a carrier oil (like jojoba or coconut oil) this slows down rapid evaporation and helps steady the transdermal absorption process. The membrane of your skin allows to pass essential oil where the capillaries carry them into your bloodstream.
